I will make this clear in the beginning - this photograph is one of my favourite ones I've seen on this site. Nevertheless, I'll try to give a constructive critique.
Firstly, I'd like to focus on composition. It was a wise choice to place the model in the middle, but not in the centre of the image. Thanks to this the photograph has a wider perspective and receives interpretation possibilities. Such composition might suggest both solitude (the person alone in the water, the whole universe above him) and chosen separation from people (the face expression, not obvious one, might suggest relaxation and relief - or something totally different, it depends how you WANT to look at it). The great deal of interpretations is a value of this photograph.
Ignoring the meaning behind the picture, the visual part of it is absolutely splendid. Black-and-white tones create a magical atmosphere, clearly visible noise makes the image have the feel and the mystery.
Another remark is that the image fits well into the surreal category. Why? Although there is no obvious surrealism in this photograph, it's floating all around the picture thanks to the surreal atmosphere created by the artist. Great job!
