Firstly your colours are quite intriguing, against the barren blues and whites of her environment this girl's flame-red hair is a stand out signifying life and the essential spark that makes us human. You could draw conclusions that she represents the ternacity of humanity to survive in whatever comes our way, you could suggest all kinds of things and justify then with ease.
However there are one or two things that let this photograph down slightly, I'm not sure the texture is needed as the composition of this photo is quite strong. The colours are vibrant and her pose is strong, even as the sky bears down on her, she is not faltering, rather she almost seems to enjoy a secretive smile.
However her facial expression could just as easily be likened to bemusement. A stronger direction from the photographer could have created a better atmosphere and a much more 'humanity against the elements', 'survival at all costs' kind of feel. Even closing her eyes or tensing her face could have changed this photograph to a much stronger end result.
As it is, this is a very pretty shot, while not quite being fashion and not quite photo-journalism is has a loveliness to it. But perhaps a stronger concept could have been invoked.
Regardless of all that I think this is a beautiful setting and I do love the feel of the photograph, sort of old world meets new modern girl stuck in the past.
the first thing that I see is a digital image with texture above it, vignetting-like effect ( also very artificially) and intentionally touched colors to fake film photo , maybe crossed processed ... Composition is nothing special, central but there is more space to the right . Too much space above the figure with a wire, not adding to the whole atmosphere. There is accent on the reddish hair in contrast to bluish environment, but the colors are not good.
I think when the purpose is to fake something easily achievable ( using film for instance)... it's a kitsch [link]
